The quarterly International Tourism Snapshot provides information on international visitation to Australia as a whole, Queensland and its regions, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland regions. The Tourism Snapshot contains the latest key statistics regarding source markets, state market share, visitor numbers, visitor nights, average length of stay and purpose of visit.

Overseas Arrivals and Australian Departures Snapshot
Latest Data Available: Year Ended June 2008
Short-term Overseas Arrivals and Departures (OAD) data is compiled from international passenger cards distributed to all arrivals and departures from Australia including Australian and overseas residents at the point of entry/exit. The OAD data presented herein is "short-term arrivals" by air and reflects airport movement only. This data covers all age groups. Information is processed and released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

International Working Holiday Visitors

The Office of Economic and Statistical Research (OESR) measures this contribution by compiling a Queensland Tourism Satellite Account. This report provides details of the economic contribution of spending by international, interstate and overnight intrastate visitors and day visitors in 2003-04.
