What Can I Do In My Business?
Achieving environmental sustainability in tourism can be complicated by the variety of programs and initiatives available. To assist operators in taking the first step, a simple process called the ‘Pathway to Sustainability’ has been developed.

The ‘Pathway to Sustainability’ is different for each business but the five steps are designed for any business to follow. It is important to note that the steps presented relate only to environmental sustainability and you must acknowledge the economic and social impacts of your operation in order to be truly sustainable.
