RESOURCE CENTRE
The Subsidy Scheme has been developed for Queensland students in years 5,6 and 7 to participate in interactive experiences involving the inspiring people, places and wide open spaces of Queensland's Outback. This scheme will provide a subsidy (per student) to assist financially towards their Outback school camp. The subsidy is offered to schools taking students on a camp within the boundary of Outback Queensland.

This scheme operates as a subsidy which is paid direct to schools after they have met the eligibility requirements for funding. 50% of the subsidy will be paid upon approval of an application and the remaining 50% will be paid upon the receipt of a completed survey after the excursion. The payment is not meant to cover all costs. Funds are allocated to schools on a per student basis at rates varying according to round trip distance travelled. Funds are to be used to reduce the costs for individual students.
