G'day! Enjoy your stay! Good news story

And now for some good news…

Japan Airlines has opened reservations on its daily Tokyo-Brisbane services following the Kamiki (April-September) 2009 travel period. This welcome commitment to Queensland follows a recent meeting with Tourism Minister Desley Boyle, Tourism Queensland and Tourism Australia.

Tiger Airways also strengthened its commitment to Queensland by yesterday announcing it would increase its services between Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast from three to seven per week from December 15.

$1.9 million campaign targets US tourists

A $1.9 million campaign targeting high-end and young American travellers has begun. It is the first of a series of international marketing initiatives planned under the $4 million State Government tourism assistance package. Five cooperative marketing initiatives will run in the US between now and October focusing on Tropical North Queensland and the Whitsundays. The campaign is in partnership with five US and Canada-based wholesalers, Qantas Airways, V Australia and Tourism Tropical North Queensland. Stay tuned for news of new campaigns in the UK and Europe.

New tourist attraction is on top of the world

Premier Anna Bligh has opened North Queensland's latest must-see tourist attraction - the $10 million Mamu Rainforest Canopy Walkway in the Wooroonooran National Park near Innisfail. The spectacular tree-top walkway, the largest project ever undertaken in a Queensland National Park, features a 2.2km forest walking track that links a 40m-high, 340m-long elevated walkway through the canopy with a 37m high observation tower. The route uses the natural clearings created by Cyclone Larry, with cyclone debris mulched for use around the site. For further information visit www.epa.qld.gov.au

G'Day! Enjoy your stay! Good news story

Rimini by the River Apartments in Noosaville recently received some great feedback:

"Good Morning

My husband and I have just returned from a holiday staying at Rimini by the River apartments in Noosaville. We had a wonderful holiday during our stay of two weeks. The apartments are very well located for tourist attractions, close to the river, restaurants and shopping as well as a great stroll into Hastings Street.

The staff were most helpful and friendly and offered us a lot of great savings.

The apartment itself was beautifully decorated in a Balinese theme and had all the mod cons.

This all added to a great holiday, we are hoping to have a return holiday there next year.

Regards
Carol and Alan James"
