Queensland on Tour Europe

Tourism Queensland is running its 5th Queensland on Tour to Europe in December 2008. Queensland on Tour Europe is a highly popular roadshow and has developed a strong reputation for achieving great results for its participants.

In 2007, Queensland on Tour Europe focused on attracting the highest quality of media to events and functions featuring Queensland's tourism products. In 2008, the roadshow returns to its traditional focus on travel network training, with some media opportunities. The 2008 roadshow will visit Munich, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Zurich, Paris and Milan from 25 November to 4 December 2008.

The objectives of the 2008 QLD on Tour roadshow through Europe are to:

*increase awareness of destination Queensland
*raise the profile of Queensland’s tourism product suppliers
*grow business opportunities with key wholesale partners
*strengthen and establish travel industry relations with product management contacts
*provide training sessions for retail sales and reservation staff
*generate media exposure on pan-European marketing initiatives

We expect to meet around 300 people from the European tourism industry: targeting travel agents, wholesale product management and reservation staff as well as selected travel trade journalists and consumer media journalists.

Please send your registration form ASAP to Ollie Philpot at TQ head office in Brisbane, as we have only 25 slots available, 5 of which will be allocated to new tourism products.
