Queensland on Tour China

Tourism Queensland holds a Queensland on Tour China event annually in March.

In 2007, Tourism Queensland introduced a new format for Queensland on Tour China. On the back of the successful 2007 format, Tourism Queensland followed a similar format in 2008. This format was for Tourism Queensland to bring top agents from key regions in China to one location close to Shanghai.

Although this format has been successful for Tourism Queensland for the last two years, we have looked at ways to further improve interaction between key China industry & Queensland product. So, following feedback from operators involved in the QOT China for many years & the current market situation, we will alternate this ‘incentive style’ format of flying Chinese trade to one location with a ‘road show’ style format of flying the Queensland operators to numerous locations in China. While both formats have strengths & weaknesses, the added benefit of being able to train key front line staff in each location is a good benefit for the road show style event.

The Qld on Tour China 2009 prospectus outlines the preliminary itinerary, costs, inclusions and conditions along with the application forms (English & Chinese language) plus indemnity form.

Deadline for applications is no later than Friday 19th December 2009.

Important Note

Although there will be no Queensland on Tour Taiwan event in 2009, TQ in Taiwan will be holding an industry event for any interested industry who wish to coincide their visit to China with a side-trip to Taiwan. The timing will connect as follows:

12 - 13 March 2009 Sales calls in Taipei & 13 Mar Queensland ‘splash’ dinner event in Taiwan.

16 - 20 March 2009 Queensland on Tour China 2009.
